My work experience and education reflect my dedication and passion for helping people, community and the environment. This includes having worked over five years with the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), most recently as a Senior Policy Analyst with the Public Health Response team. My work supported FNHA’s strategic-level planning, response and partnership activities including for COVID-19, environmental emergencies and ongoing residential school findings. My work experience also includes time in Ottawa with Environment and Climate Change Canada, working for the Vancouver-based environmental non-profit Ecojustice, and academic research assistance at Simon Fraser University. I have also been active in volunteering where I have contributed my research and writing skills to my local community, including developing reports that have helped inform municipal planning.
I hold a Master’s degree in Resource and Environmental Management from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Simon Fraser University. I live in beautiful Port Moody with my partner, two wonderful step-kids, and spunky dog Ace. I am a city councillor for Port Moody and it is a true honour to serve my community in this way. When not working I love spending time outdoors and try to escape into the deep, wonderous wilderness whenever possible.
